CRNA Internships

International Medical Aid (IMA) offers exceptional CRNA Internships for pre-CRNA students, students enrolled in graduate nurse anesthesia programs, and licensed CRNAs. These experiences take place in dynamic international healthcare settings, where participants are mentored by a team of highly skilled CRNAs, nurses, physicians, PAs, and other healthcare professionals. Through partnerships with an extensive network of public and private healthcare facilities, interns and volunteers contribute to improving the health of underserved communities while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. IMA is deeply committed to making a meaningful impact on underserved populations. We achieve this through medical clinics, public health education, first responder training, and first aid programs. CRNA Interns collaborate with skilled nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologists in hospitals and surgical centers across the globe. Healthcare Internship Program Philosophy

International Medical Aid is a not-for-profit organization established at Johns Hopkins University that provides Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Internships abroad. These programs cater to undergraduate pre-health students, graduate students, and licensed clinicians, offering placements in high-need regions such as East Africa, South America, and the Caribbean. Through these CRNA Internships, participants gain hands-on exposure to various specialties while addressing critical healthcare gaps. Beyond the clinical experience, interns and volunteers explore their destinations’ culture and natural beauty through guided adventure programs led by experienced tour professionals. Rooted in values like integrity, respect, commitment, and innovation, IMA ensures participants contribute meaningfully to underserved populations while enjoying a safe and rewarding experience.
