Partnerships
Partnerships and Professional Collaborations
The organizations preparing tomorrow's doctors, nurses and PAs bring IMA to their students, from HOSA's International Leadership Conference to the UC Davis Pre-Health Conference and the AMSA Alliance.
Bring IMA to Your Students
We work with student organizations, conferences, universities and pre-health advisers to give students a clear view of clinical learning abroad. HOSA–Future Health Professionals lists IMA as a Premier Partner, the UC Davis Pre-Health Conference has hosted IMA every year since 2023, and IMA is an organization member of the American Medical Student Association’s AMSA Alliance.
Workshops and Alumni Panels
Sessions on ethical clinical learning abroad, preparing for a health career and what students actually do on placement, with IMA alumni who have trained in Kenya and Peru.
Conferences and Chapter Events
An IMA exhibit or speaker for your leadership conference, pre-health fair, chapter meeting or advising event.
Resources for Advisers
Program details, safety information and articles you can share with students and families.

HOSA–Future Health Professionals
HOSA lists IMA as a Premier Partner. Our involvement includes workshops and an exhibit at the HOSA International Leadership Conference, alumni webinars, articles for members and families, and an earlier application age of 15 for HOSA members.
UC Davis Pre-Health Conference
IMA has exhibited at the UC Davis Pre-Health Conference every year since 2023 and led workshops on ethical global health internships in 2024, 2025 and 2026, alongside more than 200 exhibitors on Hutchison Field.

American Medical Student Association (AMSA)
IMA appears in the AMSA Alliance directory as an AMSA Organization Member and publishes educational articles on AMSA Alliance about internships, pre-med planning and alumni experiences.
What Students and Families Gain
Students meet IMA where they already learn: at their HOSA leadership conference, at the UC Davis Pre-Health Conference and in the articles they read on AMSA Alliance. They hear directly from alumni who have trained in hospitals in Kenya and Peru, join workshops on ethical clinical learning abroad and get honest answers about supervision, safety and cost before they apply.
HOSA members also get an earlier start: they can apply to IMA’s high school internships from age 15, a year before other students. Every event, workshop and article is listed on its partner page with dates and links to the original programs and listings.
