Nursing/Pre-Nursing Internships

International Medical Aid presents specialized Nursing Internships abroad, created at Johns Hopkins University and customized to align with each participant’s objectives. Our interns have the chance to work in dynamic international hospitals, guided by our exceptional team of devoted healthcare professionals. In many developing countries, hospitals often have limited nursing staff, enabling our nursing interns and volunteers to establish meaningful connections with patients from the beginning of the program. We partner with a comprehensive network of public and private hospitals to offer engaging, hands-on programs designed to match each intern’s unique abilities and educational background. Pre-nursing and nursing volunteer interns can develop or enhance their clinical skills while making a global impact. IMA focuses on improving the well-being of underserved individuals in the regions where we operate through initiatives such as medical clinics, public health education programs, and first responder and first aid training. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians and healthcare professionals in hospitals and clinics in various countries around the world. They will gain first-hand clinical experience in a wide range of medical specialties, including but not limited to internal medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, dermatology, and oncology. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to observe medical procedures and surgeries and participate in patient rounds.

The program was developed at Johns Hopkins University and is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience for interns. It combines hands-on clinical experience with classroom instruction, allowing interns to gain a deep understanding of medical theory and practice. The program is customized to meet the unique needs and goals of each intern, and provides opportunities for personal and professional growth.

International Medical Aid is a non-profit organization that provides Nursing Internships abroad for students and professionals in underserved communities around the world. IMA’s Nursing Internships are designed to allow participants to gain clinical experience in a global healthcare setting. Interns work in dynamic international hospitals and clinics under the mentorship of IMA’s team of experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals. IMA’s Nursing Internships are a valuable opportunity for participants to gain the skills and experience they need to succeed in a career in nursing.
